Since 1996, special pottery exhibition has been held annually inside the ‘KEIHAN’ department store in Moriguchi, Osaka, Japan, where some of our finest potteries are featured. Our ceramic artist, Bifu Kimura, and many other staff are present to welcome and assist the customers who come to visit the exhibition.

To celebrate the successful firing and unloading of the kiln, special sales event takes place soon after where select vendors and customers are invited to sample the new items. If you would like to receive information about special events and sales promotions, please contact us by e-mail.
KILN FIRING

The firing takes place typically once a year, usually during the spring or the autumn time when the weather conditions are favorable. The next firing is scheduled to take place in April this year. Please contact us by e-mail if you are interested in watching this rare event in action.
ANNUAL BIZENYAKI FESTIVAL

The Annual Bizen Pottery Festival is celebrated on the third weekend of October. The festival is held near the Inbe Station, just blocks away from our studio, drawing some 140,000 visitors in just two days. During the festival, everything in the store is 20% off! Maiko Kano’s visit

A former national volleyball player, Ms. Maiko Kano (狩野舞子), visited our studio! She was part of the Japanese team that won bronze at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She made some wheel-thrown vessels with the help of our master potter, Bifu Kimura.
SAN FRANCISCO EXHIBITION

We held a special 4-day exhibition during the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Japan Town in San Francisco, California, USA. The exhibition was met by much enthusiasm by the admirers of Bizen pottery in America. Our bizen potteries are still being featured in one of the stores in Japan Town.
